Welcome to the ACOE Foundation
The Alabama Conference Of Educators (ACOE) Foundation was
established in 2008 by the Alabama Conference Of Educators. The
mission of the ACOE Foundation is to promote and provide support to
Alabama teachers and students in order to establish world-class
education for all of Alabama’s children through initiatives that
recruit, develop, retain and recognize highly accomplished teachers.
Mission Statement: The ACOE Foundation exists to make a positive difference for children by providing teachers with education and support so they are better equipped in the classroom. |
ACOE Foundation - Supporting Education
2012 edcamp Bham---The
ACOE Foundation and the Alabama Conference of Educators are proud to be sponsors
of the 2012 edcamp Birmingham event that was held on Saturday May 5th at Trace
Crossing Elementary School in Hoover, Alabama. "Edcamp is a free, democratic,
participant-driven professional development for teachers." Do not miss being
part of these edcamp events! Be prepared to not only learn, but to share what you know!

Alabama Conference of Educators are proud to provide lunch for the conference
and ACOE and ACOE Foundation Board Members enjoy meeting teachers from around

Conferences—The ACOE Foundation will
consider sponsorships of educational organizations and conferences as we become
aware of those organizations and events.
2011 ACOE Foundation Activities
2011 Alabama Staff Development Council annual
conference: ACOE and the ACOE Foundation were proud to support the 2011
Alabama Staff Development Council Conference that was held at the Wynfrey Hotel
in Birmingham, Al on November 17th and 18th. Attendees participated in different
works sessions and Professional Development opportunities and included
Administrators, Educators, School Superintendents, and technology leaders from
across Alabama.
2011 Alabama School Library Association Annual Conference: ACOE
and the ACOE Foundation were proud to be sponsors of the 2011 Alabama School
Library Association annual conference that was held June 13, 2011 at Mountain
Brook High School.
2011 edcamp Bham: The ACOE Foundation and The Alabama
Conference of Educators (ACOE)
were sponsors of the 2011 edcamp Bham event that was held at Samford University
on Saturday April 30, 2011. ACOE and ACOE Foundation Board Members and ACOE
members assisted in the registration process for attendees and also provided
lunch for the attendees. Even though devastating tornados ripped across Alabama
only 3 days prior to the event, 2011 edCamp was still a huge success with
educators attending from all across Alabama and participating in various
professional development opportunities.
